View and Approve
Depending on specified role and regardless of geographic
location, ES users can review or approve documents using
low resolution previews, without the need to download
Hi-Res files or the use of fast internet connections.
Comments and requests for corrections are stored on a
centralized database where they can easily be shared.
Regardless of the complexity of the approval workflow,
users with the appropriate rights can easily approve or
reject single or multiple files by a simple mouse click.

Measuring densities or checking available layers and single
separations in positive or negative view is only a mouse
click away. The ability to rotate a document helps reviewing
content, especially on imposed or nested forms. In addition,
opacity and order of separations can be easily altered in order
to simulate a specific printing process or ink characteristic. |
Milestones
Managing a complete project consists of more than just
the approval workflow. Being able to set all the necessary
milestones such as project setup, artwork delivery, prepress
tasks, approvals, output, final print and their associated
deadlines in ES, helps all participants to track the progress,
anticipate delays and reallocate resources if necessary.
A dashboard view provides an intuitive "to do" list for each
operator, who can manually change the status of each
step upon completion. Tasks like file delivery or approvals,
which are entirely managed by ES itself, are updated
automatically and allow real time view on job progress. |

File Information
Finding the right file when it's needed is a crucial part of daily
production. Whether it is for collecting similar spec'ed files for
output or just to refer to a recently completed job, the crossproject
search in ES uses an extensive list of file properties for
fast results. These properties are automatically indexed from
available file metadata (XMP, IPTC, EXIF and others), through
job ticket information and JDF compliant MIS systems, which
can also be added at any time from user defined or standard
tickets; for example, from the Ghent PDF Workgroup.
In addition to their informational value, these properties
can also directly interact with file processing workflows.
By providing the essential data to process files based upon
specific rules (number of separations, given document size, etc.),
the necessity of user intervention is reduced to a minimum. | |
